Copper / Brass
Shall consist of No. 1 bare, uncoated, unalloyed copper wire, not smaller than No. 16 B & S Wire gauge.
Shall Consist of clean, untinned, uncoated, unalloyed copper wire, clippings, punchings, bus bars, commutator segment not less than 1/6 of an inh thick, free of burnt wire which is brittle.
Shall consist of Misc, unalloyed copper scrap having a nominal 96% copper content (min 94%) as determined by electrolytic essay. Should be free of the following: Excessively leaded, tinned, soldered copper wire; brass and bronze wire; excessive oil content, iron, and non-metallics; copper wire from burning, containing insulation; hair wire, burnt wire which is brittle and reasonably free of ash.
Shall consist of Mixed yellow brass solids, including brass castings, rolled brass, rod brass, tubing and misc yellow brasses, including plated brass. Free of manganese-bronze, aluminum-bronze, unsweated radiators or radiator parts, iron, and excessively dirty and corroded materials. Free from any type of munitions.
Brass New Clippings
Shall consist of cuttings of new unleaded yellow brass sheet or plate, to be clean and free from foreign substances. To be free of Muntz metal and naval brass
